0 0 <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman declared the Resolution unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the County proclaim the <br />week of April 10th - 16th as National Public Health Week, and that the County <br />Manager be authorized to draft a proclamation to that effect, and that same be <br />issued for and on behalf of the Board. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman declared the Resolution unanimously adopted. <br />The County Manager presented a Resolution requesting abandonment <br />from State Maintained Secondary Road System of a portion of SR 1401 from T. G. <br />Proctor, Jr. 's property to the dead end for a distance of approximately 2400 feet. <br />The County Manager explained that this was a portion of a public road that was on <br />the Zimmerman farm which is owned now by Golden Poultry and is not needed by <br />them for their development of their industrial site on said property. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved the adoption of the following <br />Resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the attached petition has been filed with the Board <br />of Commissioners of the County of Lee requesting that the above described <br />road, the location of which has been indicated in red on the attached map, <br />be abandoned from the Secondary Road System; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion <br />that the above described road should be abandoned and taken off the Lee <br />County map, since this section of road has not been maintained by the <br />Department of Transportation due to development of the property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of the County of Lee that the Div ision of Highways is <br />hereby requested to review the above described road, and to remove it <br />from the State maintenance program and County map. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />
