Mr. Barefoot advised the Board that he had checked the work remaining to be done and believed a bond in the amount of $6, 500 was adequate to insure the completion of the Subdivision which needed only the paving of three short sections of streets in two Subdivision sections. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Board reduce the bond to $6, 500 and that a letter of credit of the amount guaranteeing the paving of three short streets in Carolina Trace Subdivision would be acceptable in lieu of the present letter of credit. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. 7. Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, reported on the Transportation Improvement Program meeting held on April 21, 1988. Mr. Barefoot also reported on the building permit activity in the oast few months and presented the report of the Department of Inspection and Planning for the months of January, February and March, 1988. The County Manager, Mr. Jim Mills, reported on the combined effort of the County and the City of Sanford to extend water and sewer services to an industrial site on Harvey Faulk Road. The County Manager recognized the Grant Director, Mr. Elwin Buchanan, who gave additional details concerning operation and activities relating to the sewer and water line to the This End Up Furniture Company site on Harvey Faulk Road. In essence, the County would pay 1/4th of the cost of the utility lines. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach';-. Jr. moved that the County participate in the extension of water and sewer lines to the This End Up Furniture site on Harvey Faulk Road to the extent of 1/4th of the cost for water and sewer to said site.
