• is <br />426 <br />12 <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The aairman ruled that the resolution had been unanimously adopted <br />and ordered that the minutes be recorded. <br />Mr. Jon A. Moore, Land Records Manager, appeared before the <br />Board and reviewed the land record program in Lee County and recommended <br />that the Board make application for a State matching grant under the provisions <br />of the North Carolina Land Records Management Program. Mr. Donald P. Holloway, <br />Director of the Land Records Management Program, Denartment of Natural <br />Resources and Community Development, State of North Carolina, appeared before <br />the Board and discussed the Grant Application Program. <br />After discussion between the Board and Messrs. Moore and Holloway, <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the County prepare and file <br />an application for a State matching grant under the provisions of the North <br />Carolina Land Records Management Program. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox <br />Jr. , seconded the motion, and unon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the Board <br />and presented several items which had been considered and passed on by the <br />County Planning Board. The items were as follows: <br />1. The County Planning Board recommended that the request for <br />improvement of SR 1200 (Murchison Road) in Greenwood Township, be approved. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the adoption of the following Resolution <br />with respect to SR 1200: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioner of the County of <br />Lee has investigated the condition of the above described road, <br />which is now a part of the system of roads maintained by the <br />Highway Division, Department of Transportation, and which is <br />indicated in red on the Petition and accompanying map; and <br />WHEREAS, after careful consideration of the services rendered <br />by State Road and the traffic demands of said County, it is <br />deemed necessary that said road be approved in order to <br />better serve the interest of the people of this county; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and the Board of <br />
