BOOif V il,CF 451 Mrs. Nellie Thomas, Register of Deeds, appeared before the Board and presented the budget request for the office of the Register of Deeds. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that the releases and refunds for the months of March and April, 1988, as prepared by the office of the Tax Supervisor be approved and authorized. A copy of the list of releases and refunds as prepared by the Tax Supervisor is attached to these minutes and incorporated herein. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer NAY:None The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and the releases authorized. Attention was called to a letter from Mr. King Moore Willis, CPA, who is retiring from the firm of Deloitte Haskins & Sells. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that a certificate of appreciation be prepared and presented to Mr. King Moore Willis for his many years of service in auditing the County's books. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. County Manager Jim Mills appeared before the Board and reviewed the budget requests made by the various County Agencies and Departments. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker nominated T. Burke Buchanan to fill the present vacancy on the Youth Commission. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews Wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled that Mr. Buchanai had been duly elected to the Youth Service Commission to serve the unexpired term of the current vacancy. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Board adjourn the meeting until Friday, June 10, 1988, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. in the Commissioners' room of the County Office Building. Dossenbach, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted and the meeting was adjourned.
