BOOif V il,CF 451 <br />Mrs. Nellie Thomas, Register of Deeds, appeared before the Board and <br />presented the budget request for the office of the Register of Deeds. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that the releases and refunds <br />for the months of March and April, 1988, as prepared by the office of the Tax <br />Supervisor be approved and authorized. A copy of the list of releases and <br />refunds as prepared by the Tax Supervisor is attached to these minutes and <br />incorporated herein. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY:None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and <br />the releases authorized. <br />Attention was called to a letter from Mr. King Moore Willis, CPA, who <br />is retiring from the firm of Deloitte Haskins & Sells. Commissioner John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr. moved that a certificate of appreciation be prepared and <br />presented to Mr. King Moore Willis for his many years of service in auditing <br />the County's books. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />County Manager Jim Mills appeared before the Board and reviewed the <br />budget requests made by the various County Agencies and Departments. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker nominated T. Burke Buchanan to fill the <br />present vacancy on the Youth Commission. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that Mr. Buchanai had been duly elected to the <br />Youth Service Commission to serve the unexpired term of the current vacancy. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Board adjourn the <br />meeting until Friday, June 10, 1988, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. in the <br />Commissioners' room of the County Office Building.
