Sheriff Billy Bryant was recognized and he spoke on the need for salary adjustments for the personnel in his department. Deputy Estes was again recognized and at this time he presented the budget for the operation of the jail. Sheriff Bryant and Captain Paul Lacy were present and Sheriff Bryant spoke with respect to the need for adjustment to personnel salaries in the jail department. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. was recognized and he made a motion that the Ambulance Department and its Advisory Committee have the name changed to the Emergency Medical Service Department and the Emergency Medical Service Committee. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and ordered that the change in name be implemented. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. presented the budget request on behalf of the Emergency Medical Service. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the fees to be charged for services by the Emergency Medical Service Department be established as follows, effective July 1, 1988: Basic fee $75.00 Esophagus Oral Air $50.00 Disp. Resuscitation $30.00 IV Start-up $15.00 Oxygen $20.00 Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and the fees amended. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the County officials be authorized to destroy the following records in accordance with the provisions of G. S. 121.5 and 132-8.1: County Property and Equipment Inventory Records 1970-1983 30 in. Leave Records -Prior Employees 1976-1983 10 in. Time Records - 1976 -Prior to last audit 100 in.
