MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />of <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />FRIDAY, JUNE 17, 1988 <br />I <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' Room on the <br />second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North <br />Carolina, on Friday, June 17, 1988, at 3:00 o'clock P. M., the same being <br />the time, date and place specified in the motion of adjournment. Those present <br />were: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. <br />Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman, John E. <br />Dotterer, declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of <br />business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The County Manager distributed a budget message, together with a copy <br />of the budget. The Board discussed the proposed budget at length, following <br />which Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Board accept and approve <br />the proposed budget calling for a tax rate of 78i as submitted by the County Manager, <br />and ratify and approve the notices given for the public hearing on the budget. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer seconded the motion, and upon a roll call vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, it was adjourned sine die. <br />ohn E.
