BOOK 12 PAGE 462-F <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />The Board reviewed the request from the Department of Social Services <br />that it change its designation of the IV-D Agency for the County acting under <br />Title IV-D of the Social Security Act. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />moved the adoption of the following Resolution: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners that <br />the Director of the Lee County Social Services Department is hereby <br />designated as the Lee County Official empowered to act on behalf of <br />Lee County as the IV-D Agent under Title IV-D of the Social Security <br />Act as provided for in Chapter 110 of the General Statutes of <br />North Carolina. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote the results <br />were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />The County Manager presented for consideration a Resolution dissolving <br />the Caswell, Chatham, Lee and Person County Health Department. After discussion <br />and review, Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved the adoption of the <br />following resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Counties of Caswell, Chatham, Lee and Person heretofore <br />established a District Health Department in lieu of separate County Health <br />Departments; and <br />WHEREAS, some of the member counties have elected to withdraw from <br />said District Health Department effective as of the end of the current fiscal year <br />on June 30, 1988; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County is of the opinion that <br />the health interests of its citizens would best be served by a dissolution of the <br />District Health Department and establishment of a County Health Department; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners <br />of Lee County as follows: <br />
