0 <br />soox V Pau $62 -,E <br />Officer of Lee County, North Carolina, to be kept on file for <br />direction in collection of revenues and expenditures of the amounts <br />appropriated. <br />SECTION 3. This budget is to be amended when actual costs are <br />determined after all bids have been taken and contracts awarded. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Doseenbach, Matthews, Wicker & Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unamiously adopted. <br />Mr. Thomas Oxholm of Wake Stone Corporation appeared before the <br />Board and requested that the Board approve the use of Industrial Development <br />Bonds as financing for the reopening of Wake Stone's Northern Lee County <br />quarry. In the alternative Wake Stone requested that a new hearing be set and <br />a new hearing date as it believes it has resolved its difficulties with its <br />neighbors. After discussion and consideration, Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />moved that the Board set a public hearing on the question of issuing Industrial <br />Bonds as financing for the reopening of Wake Stone's Northern Lee County <br />quarry at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on July 18th, 1988, at the Board's regular meeting <br />on said date. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />County Manager Jim Mills presented the requested budget and tax rate <br />for the fire districts. The Board discussed the matter at length. Commissioner <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that the proposed budgets for the fire districts be <br />approved and that a notice be published advising the public that the Board would <br />consider final adoption of said tax rate at the same time and place they adopt the <br />general budget for Lee County. Provided further that henceforth that budget <br />requests be submitted to the Commissioners at the same time and during the same <br />period it considers its budget requests from other departments and agencies.
