UOK 12 PILE 462 -13 <br />Board for their assistance in opposing the location of such a facility, and <br />appreciation that the Board was going to create an Environmental Affairs Board <br />for Lee County. She presented a folder of materials to each member of the Board. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the Board and <br />presented an abbreviated final plat for the Hunters Ridge East Subdivision. Mr. <br />Barefoot reviewed the plat and advised the Board that the County Planning Board <br />recommended approval of the plat. After review and discussion, Commissioner <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the abbreviated final plat for the Hunters Ridge <br />East Subdivision be approved. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Barefoot then presented the abbreviated final plat for the Hunters <br />Ridge West Subdivision. Mr. Barefoot reviewed the map and advised the Board <br />that the County Planning Board recommended its approval. Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker moved that the plat be approved. M. Womble and Mr. John Ogburn appeared before the Board on <br />behalf of the Airport Commission and requested approval of three budget ordinances <br />for projects at the Sanford-Lee County Airport. The first project was for <br />approach identifier lights for runway 3 (RELLS). This project is to be funded by a <br />grant of $3, 000 from the State of North Carolina, and local funds in the amount of <br />$3,000 which have already been contributed by private industry. The second project <br />is to install PAPPS on the approach ends of Runways 3 and 21. This project is to <br />be funded by a grant from the State of North Carolina in the amount of $12, 500, a <br />contribution of $3, 500 from the Aero Club and committed funds from local sources <br />of $9, 000. The third project was for runway extension and obstruction removal <br />which was to be funded by Federal funds in the amount of $153,450, State funds of <br />$8, 525 and City and County funds in the amount of $8, 525.
