<br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote
<br />the results were as follows:
<br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Wicker and Dotterer; absent Matthews

<br />The County Manager distributed a list of appointments to Boards and
<br />Commissions whose terms expire June 30, 1988. The Board reviewed the list
<br />informally and agreed to consider the majority of these appointments at a later
<br />date. The matter of the Lee-Harnett Mental Health authority in which all of the
<br />appointees were ineligible for reappointment, the Chairman suggested the
<br />following: Roy Smith; Dr. Steven Cox; and Rev. Lydia Gales as appointees for the
<br />four year term. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the Board
<br />appoint Roy Smith, Dr. Steven Cox and Rev. Lydia Gales to serve on the
<br />Lee-Harnett Mental Health Authority to commence on July 1, 1988, until their
<br />successors are appointed and qualify. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded
<br />the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows:
<br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Wicker and Dotterer; absent Matthews
<br />NAY: None
<br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and the
<br />nominees duly appointed.
<br />The Board next considered the request of the Department of Aging to
<br />expand its Board from nine to fifteen members. The matter was discussed,
