Commissioner John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the following persons be appointed to the <br />Senior Citizens Board for the term indicated: Zenobia Sellars, three <br />years; Fred Wicker, three years; Mary Lou Crissman, three years; <br />Brenda Respess, three years; Dick Strader, three years; Commissioner <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr., two years; Ruby McSwain, two years; Jean <br />Spalding, one year and Osa Palmer, one year. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the resolution had been <br />unanimously adopted and the persons named appointed to the Senior <br />Citizens Board for the terms indicated. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that Mr. Elwin <br />J. Buchanan be reappointed for a one year term on the Triangle <br />Housing Development Corporation. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously <br />adopted and Mr. Buchanan duly appointed to the Board of Directors of <br />the Triangle Housing Development Corporation. <br />The Board next considered appointments to the Youth <br />Commission and noted that on June 6, 1988, it had appointed Mr. Burke <br />Buchanan upon the resignation of Billie Elmore. The Board was also <br />advised that Betty Womble had also resigned. Commissioner Gordon A. <br />Wicker moved that the following persons be named for the four year <br />term on the Youth Commission: Caroline Kinnaman, Beverly Brockmeyer, <br />Mike Matochik, Mary Hawley Oates, Hilda Kennedy, Margaret Murchison <br />and A. B. Harrington, III. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the resolution had been <br />unanimously adopted and the persons named appointed for the four year <br />term on the Youth Commission. <br />
