Hip <br />m V 466 <br />NAY: None <br />N <br />The Chairman ruled that Mr. McBride and Mrs. Dickerson <br />were duly appointed to the Planning Board for the terms indicated. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that Mr. <br />Richard Palmer and Dr. Marvin Joyner be appointed to the Private <br />Industry Council for two year terms. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that Mr. Palmer and Dr. Joyner <br />were duly appointed to the Private Industry Council for two year <br />terms. <br />The Board next considered the vacancies in the Parks <br />and Recreation Commission. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr. nominated Dr. Lynn Smith, Ronell Dowdy and Mr. Charles Bowers. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker nominated J. Stone. An election was <br />held in which Dr. Smith received five votes; Mr. Bowers received five <br />votes; Mr. Dowdy received four votes; and Mr. Stone received one <br />vote. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that Dr. Lynn Smith, <br />Mr. Ronell Dowdy and Mr. Charles Bowers be appointed to the County <br />Parks and Recreation Commission for the term of three years or until <br />their successors are appointed and qualify. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the persons named had been <br />appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission for the term <br />indicated. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that Mr. George <br />Gilmore be reappointed for a three year term on the Sanford Planning <br />Board. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the resolution had been <br />unanimously adopted and Mr. Gilmore reappointed to the Sanford <br />Planning Board. <br />The Board next considered the three vacancies on the <br />
