aov V PAC[ 46 7 <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />There was a mistake in the list of appointments in that <br />it indicated that Mr. Gerald Hunter needed to be replaced on the <br />Industrial Development Board of Directors; however, it appeared that <br />Mr. Hunter was a member of the Industrial and Pollution Control <br />Financing Authority and and not the Industrial Development Board of <br />Directors. The Board had considered appointing Mr. Winston Hester to <br />the Industrial Development Board but when it learned that the vacancy <br />existed on the Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing <br />Authority, it was thought that Mr. Hester ought to be contacted if <br />there was a conflict on such appointment since he is employed by <br />BB&T. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that Jerry Jackson, <br />Harry Miller and Bernie Gantt be reappointed for a two-year term. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the parties named had been duly <br />appointed as Directors of the Industrial Development Corporation for <br />two year terms. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that Mr. Douglas <br />Wilkinson, G. Hugh Moore and Mrs. Marty C. Stevens be reappointed to <br />the Library Board of Trustees for two years or until their successors <br />are appointed and qualified. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the parties named had been duly <br />appointed to the Library Board of Trustees for the terms indicated <br />The Board next considered vacancies on the County <br />Planning Board. Mrs. Celia Dickerson was eligible for reappointment. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. nominated Mr. Rex Brown. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker nominated Bob McBride and Dot Cox. <br />The Board conducted an election in which Mr. McBride received three <br />votes; Mrs. Dickerson received three votes; Mr. Brown received two <br />votes and Mrs. Cox received two votes. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox <br />moved that Mr. Bob McBride and Mrs. Celia Dickerson be appointed to <br />the Planning Board for three year terms. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />
