Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and Dr. Ciliberto appointed a member of the Medical Services Committee. The Board next conducted an election for general public representatives on the County Board of Health. Those nominated were: Shelia Petty, Ruth Reives, Garland Smith, Terry Stewart and Albert Adcock. In the balloting, Mrs. Petty received 5 votes, Mrs. Reeves 4 votes, Mr. Smith 4 votes, Mr. Stewart 4 votes and Albert Adcock 3 votes. The Board then placed the general public nominees and the other designated nominees in the hat and drew the names for terms. Based upon the results of that draw, Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the following persons serve as members of the Lee County Board of Health for the term indicated: Dr. Howard L. James, dentist, one-year term; David Overton, pharmacist , one year term; Shelia Petty, general public, one-year term; Terry Stewart, general public, one-year term; Garland Smith, general public, two-year term; Dr. Katherine Settle, veterinarian, two-year term; Dr. Dean Kessler, physician, two-year term; Mrs. Ruth Reives, general public, three-year term; Dr. William Adams, optometrist, three-year term; Bertha L. Matthews, as the County Commissioner representative, a three-year term or until the termination of her office as Commissioner, whichever first occurs. Commissioner Raymond C.
