Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously <br />adopted and Dr. Ciliberto appointed a member of the Medical Services <br />Committee. <br />The Board next conducted an election for general public <br />representatives on the County Board of Health. Those nominated were: <br />Shelia Petty, Ruth Reives, Garland Smith, Terry Stewart and Albert <br />Adcock. In the balloting, Mrs. Petty received 5 votes, Mrs. Reeves 4 <br />votes, Mr. Smith 4 votes, Mr. Stewart 4 votes and Albert Adcock 3 <br />votes. The Board then placed the general public nominees and the <br />other designated nominees in the hat and drew the names for terms. <br />Based upon the results of that draw, Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews <br />moved that the following persons serve as members of the Lee County <br />Board of Health for the term indicated: Dr. Howard L. James, dentist, <br />one-year term; David Overton, pharmacist , one year term; Shelia <br />Petty, general public, one-year term; Terry Stewart, general public, <br />one-year term; Garland Smith, general public, two-year term; Dr. <br />Katherine Settle, veterinarian, two-year term; Dr. Dean Kessler, <br />physician, two-year term; Mrs. Ruth Reives, general public, <br />three-year term; Dr. William Adams, optometrist, three-year term; <br />Bertha L. Matthews, as the County Commissioner representative, a <br />three-year term or until the termination of her office as <br />Commissioner, whichever first occurs. Commissioner Raymond C. Dossenbach, Jr. nominated Mrs. <br />Velner Jones for service on the Domiciliary Home Community Advisory <br />Committee. Mrs. Jones received three votes and Mrs. Mildred Preddy <br />received two votes. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that <br />Mrs. Jones be named to the Dcmiciliary Home Community Advisory <br />Committee. Commissioner Raymond C.
