BOOR V PAGE 471-7 <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the City Manager of <br />the City of Sanford and the Mayor of the Town of Broadway or his designee, and <br />the County Manager of Lee County shall be ex-officio members of the Lee <br />County Environmental Affairs Board, and the following named persons be appointed <br />to the Lee County Environmental Affairs Board for the term indicated: <br />Member <br />Term <br />Mary Thornton Yarborough <br />1 year <br />Worth Pickard <br />1 year <br />Paul Jasko <br />1 year <br />George McRae- <br />2 years <br />Charles Oldham, Jr. <br />2 years <br />Laurie Lyon <br />2 years <br />Tom Poe <br />3 years <br />Robert Gray <br />3 years <br />Oscar Keller <br />3 years <br />and further that the County Planner shall serve as staff for this Board, and <br />further that the terms of all future appointees shall be for a period of three <br />years. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, reported that the previous <br />request that he had presented on behalf of the County for a grant to the Hazardous <br />Waste Board had died because of legislative action. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews moved that the Environmental Affairs Board be authorized to apply for <br />a grant in the amount of $5, 000 for an educational program. Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />Tax Collector Nathan Crissman appeared before the Board to advise them <br />of the amount of uncollected taxes. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that the <br />Tax Collector be authorized and directed to collect all past due taxes. Commissioner <br />John R.
