G. 0 <br />BOOK V PjGE 471 S <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the Board <br />and presented for consideration by the Board the final plat of the Fall Creek <br />Estate Subdivision, Section II,in Cape Fear Township. Mr. Barefoot reported <br />that the Planning Board had recommended approval of the plat on condition that <br />the developer post a $33, 500 letter of credit to guarantee completion of the street <br />inprovements together with a road maintenance agreement to be submitted and <br />approved prior to the recordation of the map. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. <br />moved that the plat for the Fall Creek Estate Subdivision, Section II, be approved <br />upon the condition that the developer furnish the County a letter of credit in <br />the amount of $33, 500 to guarantee completion of the street improvements and <br />that the developer prepare and submit and have executed a road maintenance agree- <br />ment prior to the recordation of the map. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />County Planner Leonard Barefoot presented a draft of a resolution to <br />create an Environmental Affairs Board. The resolution was as follows: <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners, in accordance <br />with North Carolina General Statute 153A-76, can create boards to <br />to promote orderly and efficient administration of County affairs; and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County can expect a continued proliferation of <br />environmental issues in the future; and, <br />WHEREAS, no specific board or commission is presently dealing <br />comprehensively with environmental issues for Lee County; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners approved the <br />c oncept of an Environmental Affairs Board at its meeting on June <br />15, 1988, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby establish <br />THE LEE COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS BOARD <br />hereinafter referred to as the "Environmental Affairs Board"; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the duties of the Environmental <br />Affairs Board include advising the Board of Commissioners on <br />
