RESOLUTION FOR <br /> LEE COUNTY <br /> AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF A NOTH CAROLINA PARKS AND RECREATION TRUST FUND GRANT <br /> APPLICATION FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO KIWANIS CHILDREN'S PARK <br /> WHEREAS,the Commissioners of Lee County are committed to enhancing the quality of life in the <br /> community;and <br /> WHEREAS,Lee County wishes to make improvements to the Kiwanis Children's Park as outlined in <br /> the Kiwanis Children's Park Master Plan;and <br /> WHEREAS,the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund(PARTF)has been authorized by <br /> the General Assembly to award grant funds to eligible park,recreation and open space projects;and <br /> WHEREAS,Lee County intends to submit an application to the North Carolina Parks and Recreation <br /> Trust Fund for funding to support various improvements to Kiwanis Children's Park <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,by the Commissioners of Lee County,North Carolina that <br /> staff is hereby directed to submit an application to the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust <br /> Fund for funding to support various improvements to Kiwanis Children's Park. <br /> Adopted this the 0day of April,2019. 1 <br /> Amy.Dalrymple,Chair <br /> AMEST: _ / • <br /> fit. 4, Ail <br /> nty Cle <br />
