&OK 12 ?AGE 471-19 M MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MONDAY, JULY 25, 1988 ✓ x, T T , The special meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, July 25, 1988, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. as specified in the call of the meeting issued by the Chairman. Those present were: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. ; John R. Dossenbach, Jr. ; John E. Dotterer; Bertha L. Matthews; and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by Mr. Beady Waddell, a member of the Lee County Board of Education. Mr. William R. Johnson, Lee County School Sunerintendent, appeared before the Board and spoke of the need to explore nossible avenues for financing imnrovements at the Greenwood Elementary School. Following Mr. Johnson's presen- tation, Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved the adoption of the following resolution: WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has previously taken action to provide the Board of Education with $500, 000 in each of the next four fiscal years; and WHEREAS, the Board of Education has approximately $1, 000, 000 in un- expended bond oroceeds;and WHEREAS, the Board of Education anticipates allocations from the public school building capital funds as follows: $570, 792 in FY 87-88; $413, 274 in FY 88-89; $320, 933 in FY 89-90; $354, 730 in FY 90-91; and $390, 946, in FY 91-92; and WHEREAS, these same sources give the Board of Education estimated total funding commitments as follows:
