3OOi 12 P',Sr 44 <br />7_02 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, AUGUST 15, 1988 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' room on the second <br />floor of the County Office Building, 200 wicker Street, Sanford, North <br />Carolina, on Monday, August 15, 1988, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. Those present <br />were Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr.; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; Bertha L. <br />Matthews, and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman John E. Dotterer was absent. <br />Vice-Chairman John R. Dossenbach; Jr. declared a quorum present and the meeting <br />open for the transaction of business. 4 <br />Vice-Chairman John R. Dossenbach, Jr. presided and the following <br />business was transacted:" <br />The invocation was given by.Leonard Barefoot, County Planner. <br />The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, <br />August 1, 1988, was reviewed and considered. Corrections were made to the <br />draft and following the corrections, Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that <br />the corrected draft be adopted as the official minutes. Commissioner Gordon A. <br />Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Matthews, Wicker and Dossenbach <br />NAY: None <br />The Vice-Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted <br />and ordered the minutes be recorded. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Board proceed to hold a <br />public hearing on the revision to the County's Flood Damage Prevention <br />Ordinance. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Matthews, Wicker and Dossenbach <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and <br />the public hearing was open. <br />The Vice-Chairman called on County Planner Leonard Barefoot to review <br />
