"COX 12 <br />J <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, OCTOBER 3, 1988 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' room on the second <br />floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, <br />on Monday, October 3, 1988, at 9:30 o'clock A. M. Those present when the <br />meeting opened were: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr. ; Bertha L. Matthews; and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner John E. Dotterer <br />was absent when the meeting opened but joined the meeting while it was in progress. <br />The Vice-Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the trans- <br />action of business. <br />Vice-Chairman John R. Dossenbach, Jr. presided and the following business <br />was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by County Manager Jim Mills. <br />The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, September <br />19, 1988, was considered and corrected. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved <br />that the draft as corrected be adopted as the official minutes for that meeting. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews and Wicker <br />NAY: None <br />ABSENT: Dotterer <br />The Vice-Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted <br />and ordered the minutes recorded. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Board proceed to hold <br />a public hearing on the proposal to lease 10.066 acres of land to Floyd Browne <br />Associates, Inc. and to contract with Floyd Browne Associates, Inc. to construct <br />a water treatment plant for the supply of water to an industrial facility. <br />
