?oos 92 sr 5;Z.3 <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />to proceed with the Youth Shelter project: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners as follows: <br />Section 1. That the Grant Award from the State Department of Crime <br />Control and Public Safety in the amount of $25, 000 be accepted. <br />Section 2. That Lee County funds in the amount of $25, 000 be appropriated <br />for the purpose of renovating a facility for the operation of a Lee County <br />Youth Shelter. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker brought up for discussion the <br />condition of the railroad crossings in the City of Sanford, and it was concensus <br />of the Board that they were willing to help the City of Sanford in any way to <br />require the railroads to improve the quality of the railroad crossings in Sanford. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker brought up the condition of the refuse <br />container sites and asked that the supervisor see what steps could be taken to <br />clean up the collection sites and to enforce the regulations pertaining to refuse <br />disposal. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker brought up for discussion the <br />possibility of acquiring more hangars at the airport on a cooperative basis similar <br />to the transaction worked out between the Airport Authority and the Pantry, Inc. <br />ohn E.
