Gil ,g <br />Commissioner Parks moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />items: <br />• Minutes from the September 29, 2011 joint meeting with the Central Carolina <br />Community College (CCCC) Board of Trustees, <br />• Minutes from the October 3, 2011 regular meeting, <br />• Minutes from the October 6, 2011 joint meeting in reference to Economic Development, <br />• Minutes from the October 10, 2011 special meeting with Evergreen Solutions, LLC, <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for September 2011 (copy attached), <br />• Budget Amendment 10/17/11/03 (copy attached), ✓/ <br />• Changes to the Lee County Personnel Policy —Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace, <br />• Bids for Buchanan Park Fencing Project (copy of bids attached), and <br />• Bids for Buchanan Park Lighting Project (copy of bids attached). <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: <br />Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Reives, <br />Nay: <br />None <br />Absent: <br />Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously <br />Pursuant to N.C. General Stature 1i <br />Comments. The following signed up to speak <br />Chairman Shook opened the floor for Public <br />allowed 3, minutes for comments: <br />1. Mr. Keith Clark, 212 Acorn <br />The Board considered appointments to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council. Clerk to the <br />for consideration to said Board. Commissioner Parks <br />o serve on the Lee County Juvenile Crime Prevention <br />Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for the lighting project at the old Courthouse, Jail, and new <br />Courthouse that were awarded at the September 19, 2011 meeting. At that meeting, the Board voted <br />to accept the low bid from J.S. Howard Electrical Company (Sanford), on a proposal to make lighting <br />upgrades and improve energy efficiency in the new Courthouse, Jail and old Courthouse. The <br />3 <br />
