Both classes would have to move to the
swim well in the event that it did not open.
• Based on swim lessons growth from 2007 -2011 we plan for an average of 96 new students per
season. To accommodate this type of growth in our program, we would have to open 2 new
classes in each of our 5 sessions for the summer of 2012. Unfortunately if the dive well were
closed, we would not have the space in the swim well to provide any new classes. The loss of
revenue would be approximately $2400 [96 (new students) *25 (fee)].
• Level 3 and Level 4 classes would lose all progressive dive training (sitting, kneeling, compact
and stride positions) which is considered part of the American Red Cross Learn -to- Swim
curriculum and requires a minimum depth of ft.
