C. <br />Information <br />Meeting Date: November 14, 2011 _ Action Item <br />XX Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT Budget Amendment #11/14/11/04 <br />DEPARTMENT Finance <br />CONTACT PERSON Lisa G. Minter, Assistant County Manager /Finance Director <br />REQUEST Approval of Budget Amendment #11/14/11/04 <br />SUMMARY Budget Amendment #11/14/11/04 appropriates funds for the <br />following departments: <br />Commissioners — To budget $140,000 from fund balance for the County performance <br />audit and the financial review of the school system. <br />Social Services — The department has received an allocation in the amount of $72,032 <br />for Low Income Energy Assistance Payments. This is to assist low income families with their <br />energy expenses once a year. The program is 100% federally funded. The County has also <br />received an additional allocation of funding in the amount of $209,667 for Crisis Intervention. <br />This program also 100% federally funded. <br />Senior Services — The County has received an allocation of $1,452 for Veterans' <br />Services for FY 2012. Funds are to be used for required training. The County has received its <br />allocation for FY 2012 to run the Senior Health Insurance Information Program. The $6,697 will <br />be used for salaries and other necessary expenditures to operate the program. <br />Youth Services WIA — The County has been awarded additional funding in the amount <br />of $61,289 from Triangle South Workforce Investment.
