;� WithersRavenel <br /> Our People.Your Success. <br /> During the project,Consultant will perform the required periodic field observations to document construction <br /> general compliance with the plans and specifications.These reports will provide the documentation necessary to <br /> support the Engineering certifications prior to system use and are required prior to recordation of plats for the <br /> subdivision. <br /> A list of the items associated with this task is as follows: <br /> ► Provide periodic observations and assessments for project construction by the WR CA staff. <br /> ► Perform limited Construction Observation for an average of ten(10)hours per week on average over <br /> the active construction period for this project. Construction Observation includes monitoring the <br /> operations of the contractor during the construction activities for general compliance with the plans <br /> and specifications. Site observation shall include: <br /> ► Prepare Field Reports of activities observed while on site; <br /> ► Take photos during Observations for documentation; <br /> ► Identify progress of work; <br /> ► Identify non-conforming work observed on the date of the site visit; <br /> ► Provide review and recommendations concerning monthly contractor pay requests; <br /> ► Provide review and recommendations concerning change orders requests(assume 2 requests); <br /> ► Attend one (1) punch list inspection per site and provide requirements to be completed for the <br /> contractor associated with the contract documents once construction is complete; <br /> ► Attend one(1)acceptance inspection of the installed public improvements by the local jurisdiction. <br /> ► Review and file Owner provided geotechnical reports; <br /> ► Site visits by Engineer of Record (assumed approximately every four (4) weeks during active <br /> construction period); <br /> ► Provide record drawings for the sites based on information gathered from the contractor and through <br /> site observations/adjustments and as-built survey for any utilities. <br /> If the estimated schedule is accelerated or delayed,the overall fee could be adjusted accordingly. <br /> Because WithersRavenel will not contract directly with any contractor performing the work, we are not <br /> responsible for the direction of work. The intent of on-site observation is to become generally familiar with the <br /> progress and quality of the portion of the Work completed,and to determine, in general,if the Work is being <br /> performed generally in accordance with the general construction standards and specifications, contract <br /> documents.WithersRavenel shall not be required to make exhaustive or continuous on-site inspections to check <br /> the quality or quantity of the Work and shall not have control over or charge of, nor be responsible for,the <br /> construction means,methods,techniques,sequences or procedures,or for safety precautions and programs in <br /> connection with the Work,since these are solely the Contractor's rights and responsibilities under the Contract <br /> Documents. On the basis of the site visits,WithersRavenel shall keep the Owner reasonably informed about the <br /> progress of the associated Work completed,and it shall be the Owner's responsibility to make decisions on work <br /> progress,changes,and costs. Also,it shall be the Client's responsibility to engage the contractor and schedule to <br /> repair any work that needs remediation as identified by the government agencies inspection reports or notices of <br /> violations or as identified on WithersRavenel reports. <br /> WithersRavenel is also not responsible for posting bonds and financial guarantees or payment of fees and other <br /> items related to design and permitting. WithersRavenel is not responsible for fines levied against the Owner for <br /> failure to complete corrective actions. <br /> C. SPECIAL CONSULTANTS AND SERVICES TO SUPPORT DESIGN EFFORT <br /> Specific subconsultants are included in the Basic Services. As the Project becomes more defined,we will be able <br /> to identify additional design subconsultants,if any,to further the design.
