She gave a brief overview of items to be discussed during <br />the meeting. <br />Commissroner Jim Womack discussed the decision by the Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />at their June 20, 2011 meeting, to bring the Economic Development department in house and report to <br />the County Manager. A handout that was received from the School of Government entitled "UNC Basic <br />Economic Development Course" was discussed. <br />County Manager John Crumpton stated that he will be working with the various Boards' to <br />develop a strategic plan to move forward with the project. <br />
