0 40Z 0 L EE COUNTY _ gotta ¢oo ao© Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow REGULAR MEETING OF THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 106 HILLCREST DRIVE SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 AUGUST 15, 2011 The regular meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 3 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Richard B. Hayes, Larry "Doc' Oldham, Charles T. Parks, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, Linda A. Shook, and James K. Womack, Jr. Chairman Shook called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. The pledge of allegiance was recited. The Board considered additions /changes to the Agenda. County Manager John Crumpton stated the public hearing scheduled by The Village of Cumnock for the 6 p.m. meeting had been cancelled. Mr. Crumpton also asked the Board to consider two items for the Health Department concerning school nurse funding and a grant with the Division of Public Health for home visiting care management for pregnant women. With no other changes made, Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Parks moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following items: • Minutes of the July 18, 2011 regular meeting, • Minutes of the July 25, 2011 special called meeting, • Recommendation from the Lee County Planning Board to approve a rezoning request from the Carolina Trace Volunteer Fire Department — Amendment to the Lee County Zoning Map (copy attached), • Application for State Aid to Libraries (copy attached), • Proclamation for 2011 fall LITTER SWEEP (copy attached),
