0 <br />40Z <br />0 <br />L EE COUNTY <br />_ gotta ¢oo ao© <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />AUGUST 15, 2011 <br />The regular meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina, convened at 3 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, <br />106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Richard B. <br />Hayes, Larry "Doc' Oldham, Charles T. Parks, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, Linda A. Shook, <br />and James K. Womack, Jr. <br />Chairman Shook called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />The Board considered additions /changes to the Agenda. County Manager John Crumpton <br />stated the public hearing scheduled by The Village of Cumnock for the 6 p.m. meeting had been <br />cancelled. Mr. Crumpton also asked the Board to consider two items for the Health Department <br />concerning school nurse funding and a grant with the Division of Public Health for home visiting care <br />management for pregnant women. With no other changes made, Commissioner Oldham moved to <br />approve the agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Parks moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />items: <br />• Minutes of the July 18, 2011 regular meeting, <br />• Minutes of the July 25, 2011 special called meeting, <br />• Recommendation from the Lee County Planning Board to approve a rezoning <br />request from the Carolina Trace Volunteer Fire Department — Amendment to the <br />Lee County Zoning Map (copy attached), <br />• Application for State Aid to Libraries (copy attached), <br />• Proclamation for 2011 fall LITTER SWEEP (copy attached), <br />
