Plank Road (copy attached), • Acceptance of a $25,000 grant from Lowe's Community & Education Foundation to be used for rebuilding Buchanan Park, • Changes to the Lee County Personnel Policy — Employee Benefits, • Lease Agreement with Pitney Bowes for new postage machine in Social Services (copy attached), and • Budget Amendment # 09/19/11/02 (copy attached) Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Shook, and Womack Nay: None Absent: Reives The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Chairman Shook read and presented proclamations to retirees Ilona Brown and Jerline Thomas. Commissioner Reives joined the meeting at this time. Pursuant to N.C. General Statute 153A -52.1, Chairman Shook opened the floor for Public Comments. The following signed up to speak and were allowed 3 minutes for comments: Sheila Barbour, 232 Palace Drive, Sanford Martha Underwood, 3309 Westcott Circle, Sanford Frank Del Palazzo, 425 Rolling Hill Road, Sanford The Board considered an appointment to the Rest Home - Nursing Home Advisory Board. Clerk to the Board Gaynell Lee presented one application for consideration to said Board. Commissioner Parks moved to accept the application of Ms. Taquita Reid to the Lee County Rest Home- Nursing Home Advisory Board. Upon a vote, the results were as follow: Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered an appointment to the Agriculture Advisory Board. Clerk to the Board Gaynell Lee presented one application for consideration. Commissioner Oldham moved to accept the application of Ms. Mary Lou Jones to the Lee County Agriculture Advisory Board from the Pocket Township. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack Nay: None
