County <br />Manager Mills advised the Board this was the same schedule being <br />followed by the State of North Carolina. Commissioner Raymond C. <br />Cox, Jr. moved that the County observe the following schedule and <br />that County offices be closed on the following dates: <br />New Year's Day <br />Martin Luther King, Jr. Day <br />Easter <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Veterans' Day <br />Thanksgiving <br />Christmas <br />January 2 <br />Monday <br />January 16 <br />Monday <br />March 24 <br />Friday <br />May 29 <br />Monday <br />July 4 <br />Tuesday <br />September 4 <br />Monday <br />November 10 <br />Friday <br />November 23 & 24 <br />Thursday & <br />Friday <br />December 25 & 26 <br />Monday & <br />Tuesday <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The Board considered the matter of the residential care <br />facility project. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that <br />the Board authorize the renovation of the old nurses home as a <br />residential care facility for use by the Lee County Youth Commission. <br />Commissioner Bertha L.
