BOOK j.2, PAGc 540 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1988 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the <br />Commissioners' room on the second floor of the County Office <br />Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, <br />November 7, 1988, at 9:30 o'clock A. M. Those present were: <br />Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. <br />Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman <br />declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of <br />business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by K. R. Hoyle, County Attorney. <br />The drafts of the minutes of the regular meeting held on <br />Monday, October 17, 1988, and the special meeting held on Thursday, <br />October 27, 1988, were considered. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker <br />moved the drafts be adopted as the official minutes for the meetings. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously <br />adopted and ordered the minutes recorded. <br />The Chairman noted the recent death of Mr. Sion H. Kelly, a <br />former member and Chairman of the Board. Commissioner Raymond C. <br />Cox, Jr. moved the Board adopt a Resolution regretting the illness <br />and untimely death of Mr. Kelly. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the Resolution had been unanimously <br />adopted and directed that copies of the Resolution be provided to the <br />
