BOOK j.2, PAGc 540 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1988 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, November 7, 1988, at 9:30 o'clock A. M. Those present were: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by K. R. Hoyle, County Attorney. The drafts of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, October 17, 1988, and the special meeting held on Thursday, October 27, 1988, were considered. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the drafts be adopted as the official minutes for the meetings. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and ordered the minutes recorded. The Chairman noted the recent death of Mr. Sion H. Kelly, a former member and Chairman of the Board. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved the Board adopt a Resolution regretting the illness and untimely death of Mr. Kelly. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled the Resolution had been unanimously adopted and directed that copies of the Resolution be provided to the
