BOOK V Pacf 563 Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. County Manager Jim Mills reported to the Board that Floyd Browne Associates had requested that they be permitted access on to the ten acre water treatment site for Golden Poultry to allow Golden Poultry's contractors to remove approximately 1,000 cubic yards of earth. Floyd Browne Associates stated they would supervise the removal of the material which would be used as fill dirt on the Golden Poultry site and would be removed from the site where the water plant would go. The Board authorized the County Manager to give such permission County Manager Jim Mills reminded the Board of the Legislative Goals meeting of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners to be held in Raleigh on December 8th and 9th, 1988. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the Board go into executive session. Commissioner Raymond Cox, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Matthews and Wicker NAY: Dossenbach and Dotter y vote. The Chairman ruled the resolution had been adopted by a majority Following the executive session, Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the executive session be closed and that the Board resume its open meeting. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and the executive session closed and the open meeting resumed. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that Mr. Jim Mills be relieved of his duties as County Manager immediately and that Mrs. Beatrice Fields be appointed as interim County Manager. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion. Commissioner Dossenbach requested that a roll call vote be held. The Clerk polled the Board and the results were as follows:
