The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, November 21, 1988, was considered. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the draft be adopted as the official minutes of the meeting. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox NAY: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted and ordered the minutes be recorded. The Chairman noted that General Statute 109-5 required the Board to examine on the first Monday in December of every year the bonds for the Sheriff, Register of Deeds, and every other officer who is required to give a bond for the faithful performance of his or her office. The Finance Officer reported thatr bonds with Western Surety Company as surety are on file as follows: OFFICE RANGE REQUIRED COVERAGE EXPIRES Sheriff 1-25,000 5,000 12-1-90 Register of Deeds 10,000-50,000 20,000 7-21-89 Tax Collector Set by Board 50,000 7-1-89 Finance Officer 10,000-250,000 50,000 7-1-89 The Finance Officer also reported that all County employees are covered by a blanket faithful performance bond with $250,000 limits per occurrence issued by the North Carolina Liability and Property Insurance Pool administered by Fred S.
