0 0 <br />BOOK V Pau 566 <br />Chairman. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that <br />Commissioner Albert L. Cox be elected Chairman by voice vote. <br />Commissioner William C. Stafford, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />NAY: None <br />Commissioner Cox having been elected Chairman by a <br />unanimous vote, he assumed the chair and presided over the further <br />deliberations of the P,oard. <br />Chairman Cox called for <br />Ballots were distributed and after <br />counted the results were as follows: <br />the election of a Vice-Chairman.. <br />they were marked and signed, when <br />COMMISSIONER <br />Dossenbach <br />Matthews <br />Stafford <br />Wicker <br />Cox <br />VOTED FOR <br />Dossenbach <br />Wicker <br />Wicker <br />Wicker <br />Wicker <br />The Clerk announced that Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker had received a <br />majority of the votes and the Chairman declared that Commissioner <br />Wicker had been elected Vice-Chairman. <br />Chairman Cox called for appointments to the positions of <br />Clerk to the Board and County Attorney. Commissioner. Matthews moved <br />that K. R. Hoyle be reappointed as Clerk to the Board and County <br />Attorney. Commissioner. Stafford seconded the inct'ion and upon a vote <br />the results were as foi-Lows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted <br />and Mr. Hoyle duly appointed to both r~>ositiuns. <br />Chairman Cox then 'requested permission to make a statement. <br />His remarks were as follows: <br />I want to thank our many friends, supporters, and poll <br />workers for volunteering their time and talents in our recent <br />election process, I thank all of you for voting and partic.ipati-ng .in <br />this right so precious to our freedom.
