0 8001( 12 PAGE <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the resolution had been unani- <br />mously adopted. <br />The Board discussed the possible future sale of surplus <br />county real estate and other surplus property. Commissioner <br />Stafford requested that County Mapper Jon Moore be instructed <br />to research all property belonging to Lee County. He could <br />present a brief discription (location, value, use, etc.) of <br />approximately 10 parcels at each Board meeting so that the <br />Commissioners might familiarize themselves with the County's <br />property. All Board Members agreed with this suggestion and <br />the County Manager was instructed to notify Mr. Moore. <br />County Manager Fields informed the Board that flowers <br />were sent for them to the funeral service of Officer William <br />D. Turner, III, who was killed in an accident on January 3, <br />1989. <br />County Manager Fields reminded the Board that two new <br />glucometers had been donated to the Lee County Ambulance <br />Service by Dr. Robert Patterson. After a brief discussion a <br />motion was made by Commissioner Wicker to accept the donation <br />of two glucometers (approximate value $500) and to thank Dr. <br />Patterson for his generosity. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Matthews and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the resolution had been unani- <br />mously adopted. <br />County Manager Fields presented a proposed lease <br />agreement with Central Carolina Aviation to be in effect <br />until June 30, 1989. After a brief discussion Commissioner <br />Wicker made a motion to accept the agreement. Commissioner <br />Stafford seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were <br />as follows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the resolution had been unani- <br />mously adopted. <br />County Manager Fields reported that she had been <br />contacted by Friendship Cable of North Carolina, Inc. about <br />being allowed to do business in Lee County. After discussion <br />it was decided to invite a representative from the local <br />
