0 <br />Boon U P!cF 679 <br />Center was presented to the Board and upon motion of Commissioner Bertha <br />L. Matthews which motion wasseconded by William C. Stafford, Jr., the <br />officers of the County were authorized to execute and deliver said <br />access permit. The vote upon the motion was as follows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted. <br />Some material pertaining to the dog pound had been prepared by <br />Director Hines; however, it appeared that the material had not been <br />approved by the Health Board and no action was taken pending approval by <br />that body. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker brought up for discussion <br />repairing a truck that was used in dog pound operations, and upon his <br />motion that the vehicle be repaired and that $300 be approved for that <br />purpose, the Board agreed. Commissioner William C. Stafford, Jr. <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were: <br />AYE: Dossenbavch, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />NAY: None <br />adopted. <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously <br />The Board discussed the use of County facilities by the Crisis <br />Board and it was noted that the Crisis Board would have to be <br />responsible and pay for any utilities in connection with the County <br />facilities . The Board authorized the preparation of a lease. <br />The Chairman reported he had received correspondence from the <br />North Carolina Department of Public Instructions that the Commissioners <br />advise the local legislators for their support of the basic education <br />plan. <br />The Triangle J Council of Government sent a memorandum <br />requesting that Commissioners should advise their legislators of their <br />views with respect to the Highway Study Commission recommendation. <br />the Chairman reported that the Johnston-Lee Community Action <br />Program had requested four offices in the new Human Services Building. <br />The Chairman reported that architect Bill O'Brien had visited <br />the old hospital building with Commissioner Wicker and himself. <br />- 9 - <br />
