dos V PAS i~" 2. The Director of Public Works is authorized to receive on behalf of the Board of Commissioners bids at public auction for the purchase of the described property. 3. The public auction shall be held at such time and place as designated by the County Manager in the notice of the public auction. The terms of the sale shall be cash. 4. The County Manager shall cause a notice of the public auction to be published in accordance with the requirements of the applicable statutes. 5. The Director of Public works is authorized to accept or reject the highest bid at the time received. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox NAY: None The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. The Board next reviewed and discussed the material received from Bunny O'Sullivan on the "Project Graduation" of Lee County. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the concept embraced in the "Project Graduation" be endorsed and approved and that the Chairman be authorized to issue a written proclamation endorsing the program for and on behalf of the Board. Commissioner William C. Stafford, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox NAY: None adopted. The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously The Board next reviewed and discussed the material received from the North Carolina Poultry Federation, Inc. that the Board take action to declare April as "Poultry Month". Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the Chairman be authorized to issue a proclamation declaring April as "Poultry Month" in Lee County. Commissioner Gordon A.
