adopted. <br />NAY: None F, - 12 714 <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the <br />Board and reported that a petition had been received requesting that <br />Brookhaven Drive, Kingwood Circle, and North Ridge Road be added to the <br />State system of secondary roads. The matter was discussed, following <br />which Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution with respect to Brookhaven Drive, Kingwood Circle and North <br />Ridge Road: <br />WHEREAS, the attached petition has been filed with the Board of <br />County Commissioners of the County of Lee requesting that the above <br />described road, the location of which has been indicated in red on <br />the attached map, be added to the Secondary Road System; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that <br />the above described road should be added to the Secondary Road <br />system, if the road meets minimum standards and criteria <br />established by the Division of Highways of the Department of <br />Transportation for the addition of roads to the System; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of the County of Lee that the Division of Highways is <br />hereby requested to review the above described road, and to take <br />over for maintenance if it meets established standards and <br />criteria. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />NAY: None <br />adopted. <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, and Mr. Bob Joyce, <br />Economic Development Director, appeared before the Board and recommended <br />that because of the significant difference in the tap fees for <br />connection to the County water system, as contrasted with the City of <br />Sanford system, that they recommended that the County's tap fee for 3/4" <br />residential tap be reduced to $650.00 plus $75.00 for the meter. The <br />effect of the recommendation would be to place the tap-on fees at the <br />same level for the two systems and that if such reduction is considered <br />by the Board that any and all fees collected within the thirty days <br />- 6 - <br />
