7210 <br />H <br />surplus. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the adoption of the <br />following Resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee desires to <br />dispose of certain surplus property of the County: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Board of Commissioners of <br />the County of Lee: <br />1. The following described property is hereby declared to be <br />surplus to the needs of the County: <br />Year Make Model Vehicle ID# Mileage <br />1986 Ford Crown Victoria 2FVP43GOGX158473 74,820 <br />2. The Director of Public Works is authorized to receive on <br />behalf of the Board of Commissioners bids at public auction for the <br />purchase of the described property. <br />3. The public auction shall be held at such time and place as <br />designated by the County Manager in the notice of the public <br />auction. The terms of the sale shall be cash. <br />4. The County Manager shall cause a notice of the public <br />auction to be published in accordance with the requirements of the <br />applicable statutes. <br />The Director of Public Works is authorized to accept or reject <br />the highest bid at the time received. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman declared the resolution had been unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The County Manager reported in respect to the quarterly report <br />submitted by the Department for the Aging that Title D funds are in <br />jeopardy and that State funds for this program have been depleted. <br />The County Manager reported on his efforts at coordinating the <br />-12- <br />
