R. Hoyle for
29 years of dedicated service as Clerk to the Board. The
Chairman extended his gratitude on behalf of the Board for the
service Mr.Hoyle has rendered not only to this Board, but many
other Boards before.
The Board next considered the draft of the minutes of the
regular meeting held on Monday, September 18, 1989. A
correction was made to the draft and following such correction,
Chairman Cox declared the minutes approved as corrected and
directed that they be recorded as the official minutes of said
meeting.
The Chairman advised that the County Attorney had to leave
early to attend a funeral and to accommodate him; the Board
next considered a Resolution of Intention of Board of
Commissioners for the County of Lee to become a member of the
North Carolina Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control
Financing Authority. Mr. Hoyle explained we have an applicant
that is going to make application for industrial revenue bonds
and there is an allocation for each individual County and to
the State. The State allocation is "pool" money and this group
of people has made application through the State. Their bond
will be issued out of a pool allocated to the State of North
Carolina. This Resolution is for Lee County to join that pool
association and name one representative from Lee County to
serve on that Board.
Commissioner Dossenbach moved for adoption of the
following Resolution:
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE
COUNTY OF LEE TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE NORTH CAROLINA
INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES AND POLLUTION CONTROL FINANCING
AUTHORITY
3
