aoK 12 PAIL 916 <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicr and Cox <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously and the <br />public hearing was closed. <br />The Chairman then asked the pleasure of the Board with <br />respect to the Ordinance. Commissioner Stafford moved that the <br />Board accept the proposed Ordinance as submitted by the <br />Environmental Affairs Board with the changes made this morning. <br />Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion. Copy of the <br />Ordinance for the Regulation of the Location, Operation, and <br />Management of Commercial Incineration Facilities in Lee County, <br />North Carolina is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Chairman thanked Mrs. Yarborough and her committee for <br />their interest in Lee County and Commissioner Stafford for <br />serving as the Board's Representative. He also expressed <br />appreciation to Mr. Barefoot and his staff for their <br />assistance. <br />Commissioner Stafford advised that he had asked Mr. <br />Barefoot to set up a meeting upon approval of the ordinance. <br />Mrs. Yarborough, Mr. Barefoot, and Commissioner Stafford will <br />meet with the Mayors of Broadway and Sanford to discuss <br />implementing this ordinance into their program. <br />The Chairman advised the next item on the agenda was <br />Special Recognition: <br />A. K. R. Hoyle for serving 29 years as Clerk to the <br />Board. <br />B. Lee County Coaches Association (LCCA) <br />Chairman Cox read the following proclamation: <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Coaches Association (LCCA) has <br />independently organized as an an adjunct to the <br />Parks and Recreation Department to support youth <br />sports programs; <br />WHEREAS, the LCCA has actively and successfully promoted <br />special fund-raising projects within the community <br />for youth sports programs; <br />WHEREAS, the LCCA supplements funding of the Lee County <br />Parks and Recreation Department so that quality <br />maintenance of athletic facilities may be <br />2 <br />
