A OK 12 PA-u 915 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING@ <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />J <br />Monday, October 2, 1989 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 A.M. <br />on Monday, October 2, 1989, in the Commissioners' room on the <br />second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, <br />Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were: Commissioners <br />Albert L. Cox, John R. Dossenbach, Jr. Bertha L. Matthews, <br />William C. Stafford, Jr. and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman Cox <br />declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the <br />transaction of business. <br />Chairman Albert L. Cox presided and the following business <br />was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by Commissioner Gordon A. <br />Wicker. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved that the Board proceed to hold <br />a public hearing on a proposed ordinance Regulating the <br />Management, Location, and Operation of Commercial Incineration <br />Facilities in Lee County. Commissioner Wicker seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted <br />and declared the public hearing open. <br />The Board went over the ordinance with Mrs. Mary Thornton <br />Yarborough, and Mr. Paul Jasko of the Environmental Affairs <br />Board. Chairman Cox suggested adding on page 2 paragraph under <br />litigation the following: the subsidiary or parent <br />corporation. A typo was pointed out on page 3 estimated should <br />be estimate. Mr. Barefoot, County Planner advised that last <br />week the Environmental Board recommended to increase the amount <br />under the application section from $50,000 to $100,000 which is <br />reflected in the ordinance. <br />The Chairman opened the floor to all persons who wanted to <br />speak on the matter and no one appeared before the Board. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the public hearing be <br />closed. Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />1 <br />
