0 50 <br />• GOAL 1: Employment <br />HOW WILL LEE COUNTY MEET THIS GOAL? <br />Lee County will meet this goal by implementing the following <br />1. Requiring all mandatory families to participate in employment <br />2. Providing job readiness training <br />3. Offering job placement services <br />4. Providing necessary transportation for employment and/or training <br />5. Maintaining strict adherence to the MRA-Part II. <br />& Enforcing sanctions for non-compliance. <br />ACTIVITIES/SUPPORT SERVICES THAT WILL ENABLE THE COUNTY TO MEET THIS <br />GOAL. <br />Lee County will provide the following activities and/or services or contract with appropriate <br />agencies to provide these services: <br />1. <br />Assessment of family needs to determine the appropriate services necessary to assist <br />participant in obtaining and retaining employment. <br />2. <br />Support structured job search activities by meeting with participants frequently and <br />monitoring progress. <br />3. <br />Referrals to Central Carolina Community College for Human Resources Development <br />® <br />and GED classes and short-term skills training. <br />4. <br />Referrals to ESC for job placement services. <br />5. <br />Referrals to local employers with job openings <br />& <br />Provide transportation service when necessary and develop transportation plan with <br />participant. <br />7. <br />Offer services to assist participant to meet MRA-Part II goals. <br />8. <br />Provide transitional services after participant goes to work. <br />9. <br />Referral to Vocational Rehabilitation, Lee County Industries and Sandhills Center. <br />10. <br />Referrals to job club for life skills training <br />
