C28 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />THE LEE COUNTY UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, North Carolina <br />that the Unified Development Ordinance be, and it hereby is, amended as follows: <br />Section 1. Article 5. Supplemental Development Regulations, Section 5.33 <br />Telecommunications Towers, be rewritten to include a new subsection 5.33.5.7, written as <br />follows: <br />5.33.5.7 Government-owned wireless communication facility erected for the purposes <br />of installing antenna (s) and ancillary equipment necessary to provide public health and safety <br />are exempt from Sections 5.33.5.3 through 5.33.5.6. Such government-owned wireless towers <br />shall not be required to submit a performance bond as specified in the aforementioned <br />subsections. <br />Section 2.
