It is hoped that both mobile classrooms can be in place by mid-January or earlier. After some discussion, Commissioner Kelly moved to approve the request from the Board of Education for $656,300 for the above-referenced units and other items. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Kelly, Reives, and Shook Nay: None The Chairman Reives moved the motion had been adopted unanimously. Finance Director Lisa Minter presented a financial update for year ended June 30, 2008. Ms. Minter stated Lee County received a good audit report and auditors will be present at the second meeting in November to present the report to the full Board. No action was taken. Finance Director Lisa Minter presented the Monthly Financial Report for month ending • September 30, 2008. No action was taken. County Manager John Crumpton discussed future finance trends for Lee County and shared information from the State and surrounding towns, cities, and counties concerning contingency plans. Mr. Crumpton stated he will discuss freezing unfilled vacancies, travel, and other budget cutting matters at the October 21, 2008 department head meeting. With no further business to come before the Committee, Commissioner Kelly moved to adjourn the meeting.
