C. <br />_ Information <br />Meeting Date: November 3, 2008 _ Action Item <br />XX Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Resolution for Mutual Aid Agreement between Law Enforcement <br />Agencies in North Carolina <br />DEPARTMENT: Lee County Sheriff's Office <br />CONTACT PERSON: Chief Randall Butler <br />REQUEST: A resolution to allow the Lee County Sheriff's Office to share mutual <br />is aid with any and all other law enforcement agencies in North Carolina. <br />SUMMARY: The Mutual Aid Committee of the North Carolina Sheriff's Association <br />has recommended that all Law Enforcement Agencies in North <br />Carolina adopt resolutions for the purpose of mutual assistance with <br />other municipal and county law enforcement agencies, should the <br />need arise. Officers of the Lee County Sheriff's Office will be allowed <br />to work temporarily with other law enforcement agencies as situations <br />arise.
