A. <br />_ Information <br />Meeting Date: October 6, 2008 -TX Action Item <br />- Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Emergency Management Ordinance <br />DEPARTMENT: Emergency Management <br />CONTACT PERSON: Eric Griffin <br />REQUEST: Adopt Emergency Management Ordinance for Lee County <br />SUMMARY: Action on this item was deferred at the September 15, 2008 meeting <br />until changes/revisions could be incorporated in the Ordinance as <br />discussed during the meeting. Changes are high-lighted, <br />underlined, and marked through for clarification. <br />Mr. Griffin is asking the Ordinance be adopted to provide the legal <br />authority for the County to implement an effective Emergency <br />Management Program. <br />(1) The Board will first need to make a motion to take the item <br />off the table for discussion, and then (2) consider the Ordinance for <br />adoption. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: N/A <br />ATTACHMENT(S): Ordinance to Provide Emergency Management in the <br />Unincorporated Areas of Lee County. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION: Action deferred at September 15, 2008 meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve Ordinance as presented. <br />
