Appendix A. Definitions, Section A-3 Definitions, be rewritten to include the <br />following: <br />Group Home/Residential Care Facility, Level 1, 11, III, or IV. A structured 24-hour care <br />facility with highly-trained staff that provide psychological services to help troubled children <br />and adolescents overcome behavioral, emotional, mental, or psychological problems that have <br />had an adverse affect on their family interactions and relationships, their school achievement, <br />and their peer group relationships and socialization. Level I facilities are considered to be the <br />least restrictive. as clients have little to mild behaviors, while Level 11 facilities are for clients <br />with moderate behaviors. Level 111 facilities are more restrictive than previous levels, while <br />Level IV homes are the most restrictive and are locked facilities. Designation as a Level 1; 11, <br />111, or IV facility shall be determined through licensing with the North Carolina Department <br />of Health and Human Services. Such facilities shall include more than six (6) residents. If <br />less than six person, refer to Fcnnil,t Care Florae. <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its <br />S adoption. <br />
