A. <br />Information <br />Meeting Date: September 15, 2008 XX Action Item <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Revised Solid Waste Ordinance <br />DEPARTMENT: Solid Waste/General Services <br />CONTACT PERSON: John Crumpton <br />REQUEST: Consider revised Solid Waste Ordinance which would give <br />county employees more authority to enforce litter, illegal <br />dumping and abandoned automobile policies in the county. <br />SUMMARY: This ordinance was presented and approved at the August <br />18, 2008 meeting of the Board. If an ordinance is not <br />approved unanimously (by the full Board) on the first reading <br />it must be presented for a second reading. Since Chairman <br />Brown was not in attendance at that meeting, the ordinance <br />did not pass, even though it was a unanimous vote of <br />members present. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: None at this time. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): Revised Solid Waste Ordinance <br />PUBLIC HEARING: No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION: Approved by the six members present at the August 18, <br />2008 meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve second reading of the Revised Solid Waste <br />Ordinance. <br />
