ear oR 13 pAc. 28 <br />cost estimates of instruction Control were used to verify <br />Stuart-Fitchett figures submitted when a proposal was put <br />together this summer. <br />Discussion followed on the space in the existing courthouse <br />and Commissioner Stafford stated he would like to see the Board <br />of commissioners use one of the courtrooms as a board meeting <br />room instead of building a large meeting room at the former <br />hospital building. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to authorize the appropriate <br />County officials to take steps to make application for approval <br />of a bond issue in the amount of eight million seven hundred <br />thousand dollars ($8,700,000) for construction of the jail/law <br />enforcement facility and renovation of the courthouse and <br />additions with the referendum to be held on May 8th. <br />Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The County Attorney submitted the following Proposed Bond <br />Authorization Timetable and advised the next step in placing <br />the bond referendum on the May 8th ballot was to publish a <br />Notice of Intention by January 26. <br />Publish Notice of Intention <br />Introduce Bond Order; <br />Call Hearing* <br />by January 26 (Friday) <br />February 5 (Monday) <br />Publish Bond Order with <br />Notice of Public Hearing <br />Public Hearing, Adopt Bond <br />Order and Call Election <br />Publish Bond Order as Adopted <br />Absentee Ballots Available <br />Publish Notice of Election** <br />Publish Notice of Election** <br />Last day to Register for <br />Election <br />Election <br />February 12 (Monday) <br />March 5 (Monday) <br />March 12 (Monday) <br />March 19 (Monday) <br />March 19 (Monday) <br />March 26 (Monday) <br />April 9 (Monday) <br />May 8 (Tuesday) <br />* Local Government Commission must have acknowledged filing <br />of application. <br />Additional publications may be made. <br />3 <br />
