53 <br />The County Manager went over the calendar with the board <br />and advised it would serve as a guideline and standardize the <br />system. Commissioner Cox complimented the County Manager for <br />putting this together in an orderly process. <br />The Board then observed a short recess. Following the <br />recess, the Board convened with all members present. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the Board go into <br />executive session to discuss land acquisition. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted <br />and the Board was in executive session. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the executive session be <br />closed. Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted <br />and the Board had resumed its regular meeting. <br />Chairman Wicker introduced students from Central <br />Carolina Community College's Radio Broadcasting Class and <br />thanked them for attending the meeting. <br />The County Manager reported that in the last agenda package <br />there was a letter from Mr. Ron Aycock, Executive Director N.C. <br />Association of County Commissioners concerning a meeting of the <br />Association for District 8 and 9 on Tuesday, February 27, 1990 <br />from 2:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. He was asked to confirm who would <br />be attending by Friday the 23rd. Because of a "Meet the <br />Candidates" Meeting sponsored by the Democratic Women at 6:30 <br />P.M. on the 27th, the County Manager was asked to represent the <br />Board at the District Meeting. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to adjourn. Commissioner Dossenbach <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted <br />and the meeting adjourned. <br />4 <br />
